Full loads of dish washing and clothes cleaning

Or you could just wash your dishes by hand after each meal - only takes a few minutes.

Actually, it takes more water to wash one sink full by hand than it does to wash a dishwasher full.

You don't really have to fill a sink to wash dishes if you soak what needs to be in the bare minimum and using it to its fullest such as using your big pot of crunchy bits to soak itself and whatever you can find that fits in it. Then wash your dishes like you are supposed to brush your teeth. For people that don't go through a lot of dishes per day I could see this being better overall compared to letting the sit about until you have enough can cause "other" problems.

Agreed. However, some people use a lot of water in the sink and some dishwashers use more than others. For water consumption and a kewl bachelor's pad, install a urinal. lol!

A bachelor doesn't need a urinal... wait never mind.

Our store has a waterless urinal. We've had it for about six years now. It has saved a lot of water, but it is kinda etched yellow... I'm not sure what would happen to dishes >P

Also, don't pre-rinse your dishes, dry-scrape them. If you must rinse, rinse with cold - you do not need hot water to rinse stuff off.
