Introduction: 101 Oven Bacon

Picture of 101 Oven Bacon

The advantage of baking bacon in the oven: all of the grease drips out of the bacon and onto the pan, hence reducing greasiness, calories, fat and you will have crispier bacon. When baking bacon, the bacon evenly cooks and allows you to cook more then holds in a skillet! Lining the pan, makes cleanup a breeze!!!

Step 1: Ingredients:

1 lb. bacon, center cut

pepper

Same as before... Place the bacon slices side by side on the cooling rack, without letting bacon overlapping. Using fresh pepper (I use Extra Bold Indian Black Peppercorn, can be found at https://www.penzeys.com/online-catalog/whole-special-extra-bold-indian-black-peppercorns/c-24/p-1427/pd-s). Grind the pepper over the top of bacon.

Step 9: Children's Way

When baking bacon, there are no more grease splatters on your stove top, center, or on YOU!!! Also, using a cooling rack and lining the pan, not only is healthier!

This is the only way to eat bacon. Comes out the perfect combo of crispy and chewy. It also enhances the smokiness. We use a broiling pan for ours though.
