Step 2The Bottom Layer
iImage Information

This is the only part that needs an explicit explanation. Basically, what you want to do is place squares of folded up tinfoil over the part of the wood that is touched by the springs of the first battery when held upside down and touching the wood. Leave them on the wood, and hammer a nail through them, but leave half of the nail sticking out of the wood. Now wrap a length of wire around each nail, and cover the whole mess in solder. See the picture if you don't get what I'm trying to say. Make sure to leave space around the battery so that the sides will fit it snugly when added. When the first one is done, add the second set for the second battery, and connect the - of the first battery terminal to the + of the second, giving you a 12v battery.
