Introduction: 1987 Steelcase Refurbished Office Chair

Had a blast doing this chair for cheap. Cost me $60.00:

Step 1:

Step 2:

already taken apart

Step 3:

A $15.00 blanket from Walmart will do.

Step 4:

Make sure you give your self room when cutting your fabric of choise

Step 5:

Stapled and glued  fabric, while stretching. I went over the exsisting fabric

Step 6:

Completed bottom and top

Step 7:

New hardware in place, i know the chrome is messed up, but i will do that another day.

Step 8:

used some cool bolts to hold it together, something different.

Step 9:

Striped the armrest.

Step 10:

I needed more padding, My roomate gave me this car wash thing to use.  Yes i know foam would of been more ideal, but i have to use what i have and this is a build for under $60.00

Step 11:

I started glueing, wraping, and trimming.

Step 12:

One down, there is a difference!

Step 13:

both done, but time to recycle those strips, so lets glue and layer.

Step 14:

keep stacking, one down.

Step 15:

And keep trimming, and more trimming.

Step 16:

Wrap and glue, Wrap and glue, trim, trim, and almost done!

Step 17:

And done, everything together! pretty nice actually for 24 years old.

Future modifications:
paint all chrome flat black
fiberglass the back of the chair into something cool.
weld double wheel caster, and then modify to put skateboard wheels in.

Well all that when i do have money.
