Hello, and welcome to the Instructables community! It's great that you've decided to tell the world about something you've made by publishing an Instructable. We just wanted to let you know that your project still needs a little more work if you want it to be well received on Instructables. Projects that don't include certain basic elements tend not to get the attention that they deserve, and so we'd love for you to check out the list below of what makes a successful Instructable. Successful projects on Instructables include: - clearly written details of a finished project with instruction - as many steps as are necessary to explain your project - clear images that you took of your project for most, if not all of your steps - an intro image - proper spelling and grammar - appropriate cautions or safety considerations I'll give you another opportunity to make any final changes to your project before we publish it. Once you're all set to go, please republish your project and send me a quick comment letting me know that you've made some changes. I'll give it a quick final check to make sure you're on the right path, and then remove this note. Thanks for your submission and we hope to see your project published soon!

I thought it was really cool but if you could add some more stuff like other ways to make the stand maybe a toilet paper tube cut in half then painted or anything else that you can think of. also maybe instead of adding a link just copy what hte other guy sayd then give him some credit for it at the end. but anyway it looks really cool and i think i'll have to make one

Yes, I work for Instructables. May I point out that we have a "Be Nice Policy" and do not tolerate any member calling any other member dumb. Please keep this in mind as you continue to use this site.

In consideration of what he said, why not post the steps on how to hollow it out, just give the credit to the person from the link. If this is allowed.

the snails would be fine in there if the water was changed every-other day.

Snails produce too much waste to be in such a small enclosure.

i have seen the same thing but in a normal glass bulb - not a light bulb- and they sold it with schrimps in it

Ammonia "Remover" doesn't remove ammonia, no matter what it claims. Its "detoxifys" the Ammonia, which is still a crock. It does basically nothing. In a healthy aquarium, you wouldn't need ammonia remover. Fix the problem, not the symptoms.

What if you added bits of carbon every once in a while, like i do with my bamboo plants water? speaking of my plant, i should throw a couple of snails from the ditch by my house in it!
Aug 27, 2008. 12:16 AMjasontimmer says:
cool but- where do you get recycled snails?
Aug 26, 2008. 2:19 PMYour Average Guy says:
what kind of snails are that and how do you care for them? also, how do you get oxygen in the water for the animals?
Aug 25, 2008. 2:18 PMgiddymoon says:
It is a very cute idea, but not a safe idea for keeping snails. I know you have taken the snails out, but I hope others will listen to the advice above..please do not put your snails in this amount of water. All sea life need an abundance of water / filtration to properly thrive.

I think that snails are great. and you could make a background by using acrylics of permanent markers and decorating the back of the bulb.
