3. Pass one end of the string into the next 3 loose beads

4. Tie a knot with the other end

  • Make sure to pull as tight as you can without breaking the string

5. Tie one more knot to make sure that is is secure

6. Pass one end of the string into a couple of beads and cut it

7. Pass the other end of the string into a couple of beads and cut it

8. Repeat 1-7 for the other side of the heart

<p>What kind of string do you use? I have had trouble with the finished piece not being particularly durable when it is handled a lot.</p>
<p>I don't use string, I use fishing line. 4,6, or 8 pound (Lb) fishing line works best. The fishing line is very strong and flexible and holds 3D pieces such as this one together very nicely and securely. Plus a spool of fishing line can last you a very long time and is relatively cheap. You can also use a thin gauge wire as well, just make sure that it is a strong &amp; flexible wire such as wrapping wire for making bracelets. They do sell beading wire, which is for use with beads, however the beading wire doesn't work very well for 3D projects at all. It's not strong enough to hold the project together properly.</p>
<p>Thanks. My husband has a lot of fishing line.</p>
<p>Appreciate all the pictures...that must've taken you a LONG time to do. Thanks for sharing :)</p>
Thanks, yes it did take a while, your welcome :)
<p>sweet</p>
Thanks
