Introduction: 3D Printed Hexgon Honeycomb Business Card and Phone Stand

About: I'm a Mechanical Engineer who has been a part of this community for over 10 years! My interests have evolved over time, and now center around 3D printing.

I was looking for a business card holder for my desk in my school's makerspace, and knew 3D printing one would have to happen. I wanted it to be distinctively 3D printed, so my design utilizes a honeycome that would be difficult to create in any way other than additive manufacturing. It is designed so that at no point any part of the model is wider than 1.6mm, making it exactly four passes of the 0.4mm nozzle on the Makerbot Replicator 2X. It was designed so that it could hold my phone as well to make watching videos on my phone while working on my computer effortless.
