This is vaunted as "the worlds most dangerous recipe in the world" - why?

Because once you know it you're only 5 minuets away from chocolate cake at any time of day or night!

Facebook users can become a fan of the cake HERE

Step 1: Get your stuff together!

1. Gather your ingredients and equipment:

Vegetable or Sunflower oil
Plain Flour
1 Large Egg
Chocolate chips (optional)

Large Coffee Mug
15ml Scoop (or tablespoon)
1-2 serving bowls
1-2 desert spoons

Cream or Icecream (to serve)

I just made this, and OH MY! Quite possibly my new favourite for a quick sweet snack =P I love baking and all anyway, but this is just so simple and tastes GORGEOUS! I think I'm in love... =-D
I made this cake multiple times now and can report that it is tasty but the texture is different from anything I have ever had. The texture is more spongy than I would think a cake would be.
probably from the microwave
Yeah, something about mutations... ...Yummy mutations... On the over all topic, it is very delicious! Will make again, will enjoy again.
OMG!!! This it the best thing I've done with five minutes of my life!!!
It was a bit dry so i added some butter the next time i made it and that did a lot to moisten it. Plus you might want to spray the cup and mix all the stuff in a bowl then put it it so it doesn't stick. that's what i did. Hope that helps! Was really yummy! (:
I just made this cake and it was simply delicious! It was my first successful cake in a long time... TIP: Top with whipping cream for extra deliciousness.
maybe the quality of my ingredients aren't great..i made with cadbury's cocoa..and i felt the chocolate could have been more enhanced...i shud stick to hershey's hereafter.
idk about u guys but this was pretty disgusting!!
Uggh! Idk if I made a mistake or something but it was so crumbly and bits of it was hard! Now I feel really sick. (vomit)
Sound like you over-cooked it.
this is the same as http://www.instructables.com/id/5-minute-Chocolate-Cake/
I just made it but I was skeptical about it and only had a little, it tasted good, but was squidgy, so i threw it out, but Oh my... I'm not feeling very good... v_v
I just made it and I have no idea what I did wrong. YUCK! It had almost no flavor and was very slippery feeling. I made it the first time and thought it was to liquid so I made it again with more dry ingredients. It wasnt much better. I really dont know if I made it wrong or what.
Not sure but I think whatever mistake you made, I must've made it too. I just made it myself and it came out with a rubbery texture and I can't even taste the chocolate.
I think you're using too much egg. I recommend substituting 1/4 tablespoon of Baking powder for the egg.
Thanks! I did just that, added a touch more milk (maybe half a tbsp?) and cut down the baking time to around 2 mins in an 800w microwave and it came out perfect!
Hi, just wanted to update on my problem (the same as yours). Try following the comment below and replace the egg (all of it, though I was skeptical at first) with 1/4 tbsp of baking powder, and add a touch more milk. I did that and it came out absolutely amazing. Also, cut down the baking time and it comes out more fudgy and almost like a fall-apart brownie. I baked mine for just under 2 mins on an 800w microwave and it's perfect (sitting eating it right now ^_^). It won't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but the taste definitely makes up for it!
what a nice fast sweet treat!
have just made this......NOM NOM NOM!!!!!!
mmm seems tasty!!
how much would you say is a scoop
from page one of the, instructions (under "you will need"):

Fork
Large Coffee Mug
15ml Scoop (or tablespoon)
Microwave
knife
1-2 serving bowls
1-2 desert spoons
3 to 4 scoops of coco for a stronger cake. But delicious, nonetheless.
this is a great recipe! it's funny, the bubbles on the bottom of the cup are huge, and you should've seen how the cake rose a few inches above the cup (I'm using a bigger mug next time) my only issue are the mild flavor (I like strong chocolate) and the egginess of the texture (it's like a very dense popover)
I just made this a few moments ago and I must say it's not bad. The texture is quite strange, but for a cheap and quick fix for a chocolate craving, I approve ^^ I think next time I won't add in the dark chocolate chips, though..
