Step 48: Chained Mudflaps

This Dumptruck has mudflaps hung from chain.
That way when the box gets dumped, the mudflaps don't get folded over and broken.

They didn't use regular log chain because then the mudflaps would fly from side to side on the highway.

These chunks of chain came from a giant bicycle ridden by monsters.

Those chains on those mudflaps look like forklift chains to me.

The chain used is called roller chain, made in a large range of sizes.

I knew a guy who built mudflap hangers from two hinges a couple of 2x4's and a coulp of planks but it rotted (wood +weather) so he cam up with riveting 2 bent piece of stell on the back and attaching the mudflap there but alas he got it wrong first time and reversed over the mudflaps but got it eventually all to save £30...
