Introduction: 6 Cool Science Experiments for Kids to Do at Home Including Erupting Volcano

Watch Jordan a 2 year old boy as he tries out 6 cool science experiments with the help of mom. experitments tested are: Erupting volcano, pumpkin eruption, magic milk, cloud foam, and rain cloud in a jar

Step 1:

Things you will need:

  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • red food coloring
  • dawn dish soap
  • aluminum foil paper
  • paper plate
  • clear tape or any tape should work
  • dirt and rocks
  • white elmer's glue

First you need to create the volcano. We made it out of aluminum foil paper with a paper plate at the bottom and a plastic bottle in the middle. Then we poured elmer's glue all around the outside of the volcano. Next grab some dirt and throw it on top of the glue. We included some of my son's dinosaurs and fake trees at the bottom with extra dirt and rocks.

For the Eruption! Pour 1 cup of baking soda mixed with 10 drops of red food coloring and 3 drops of dish soap. Then for your final step you pour about a cup to 2 cups of vinegar and Bam! Volcano Eruption!
