Step 6Scary Spider Hot Dogs

Scary Spider Hot Dogs
No kitschy party is complete without some sort of hotdog food. Here we made hotdog spiders wrapped in a savory cream cheese pastry.

Ingredients needed:
1 pack of hotdogs
1 c. butter
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese
2 c. flour
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup mustard dyed red
black food coloring
red food coloring
1 small bag of hard chop suey noodles
1 egg yolk

To mix up the cream cheese pastry:
cream butter together with cream cheese using mixer. Add flour, cheese and salt. Mix well. Add a bit of black dye to dough and mix to make dough black.

Take hotdogs and cut out a v in one side and slather with red mustard mustard to look like a bloody mouth.

Roll out the dough and brush with egg yolk. Wrap dough around each hotdog. Slice hotdog into five sections and place on a baking tray. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees or until cooked.

Take out of oven and allow to cool for a minute or two. Before totally cool, stick chop suey noodles into the dough to make the legs. Using the end of a skewer, dip in black dye and apply to faces to make eyes.
