but the cheap one i want i have read a lot about the power supply failing after 3 day or being defective at ariveal so i mixed this together.

Signing UpStep 1: Getting the parts
*some sort of wall-plug (230V AC in EU or 120V AC in US) to 12V AC or DC power supply.
you can get one out of the kind of lamp in the picture
*a USB cable that you dont min cutting
*a 6 pin mini-din power plug
[all og the following items will only be needed if you use an 12V AC transformer like the ones in the lamps]
*some diodes rated for 3 amps at 20 volts.
*a big capacitor to even out the very unstable DC

I'd be more inclined to attach to the internal power supply of my computer, where I have some faith that the 12V wire actually has 12V on it, though the fusing issues (lack thereof) might be a worry...
this is a VERY raw version of a power supply. got it working though.
(had to throw a few diodes on to take some voltage on the 12v supply)
