this is great - i find so many articles on light modifiers for speedlites but i have an all alien bee 5-light studio set up, a few "real" modifiers, but everything else is on the ghetto-rigged side and rarely do i find DIY posts on modifiers for strobes - thank you, this is awesome!!!

For the confused: This is a tool for photography. A beauty dish is made to diffuse the flash. And Alien Bees is a brand name of flash units for cameras. Phew! Maybe I was the only one who read this and didn't know, but hope this "illuminates" the discussions.
