A Fun Rubber Band Bird Call

A Bird Call using rubber bands (cordage and grass can also be used). Use a green branch, With a knife split the branch and remove a bit from the center of each half so you can blow through it. you can also remove the bark if you want.

Use one band to hold a cut wider band at one end of your branch. Cover hole with your mouth and blow. Pull on rubber band or grass blade to change notes.

i dont get it. you cut a branch in two, remove pith, and rubber band it together?

ye you have to put the broken rubber band along the stick; I do this exept with my thumbs and grass.

Make one; hold the slit to your mouth; blow through the slit while pulling on the cut end of the larger rubber band that extends from the end that is not secured the small band. The more you pull: the higher the whistle you get. You should be able to make a wide variety of bird call and other sounds. It is quite effective and fun.
