A Thai style Chicken BBQ cooked outside in 10-15 minutes. Using an old can, empty beer bottle and some hay.

Step 6Voila!! Its ready!

Voila!! Its ready!
Gently blow away the straw on top of the can and kick around the sides to get rid of the ash.

Now carefully!! and i mean carefully remove the can straight up with a couple of planks of wood or some fire retardant gloves.

Inside will be a perfectly cooked chicken with a beautiful dish of juices underneath.

NOW THIS STEP IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. I DONT WANT YOU GUYS GETTING SALMONELLA :

USE A SKEWER TO POKE INTO THE THICKEST PART OF THE MEAT, USUALLY THE GAP IN BETWEEN THE LEG AND CAVITY. IF THE JUICES RUN CLEAR (NOT PINK) ITS SAFE TO EAT
If not put the can back on and some more straw, and cook another 5 minutes.

I used a little too much palm sugar in this one, so it looks burned, but you live and learn,

ENJOY!!!

You could use a turkey. I'd love to see someone do a whole goat or a cow!! In a massive oil drum.

Friendly DISCLAIMER: I will not be held responsible if you set light to yourself your house, pets ect. Or get food poisoning.

Dude, How many chickens is that? it looks like a couple.... Heey there's an idea could you make an open mesh metal stand so that you can stack a couple of chickens? I mean, how much room do you have in the drum if you were to stack the chickens?
