A less boring easter egg by hardwarehacker

Easter eggs are SO boring, they just lay there doing nothing. But with a few items from the junk box a boring Easter egg can become an entertaining object.

You will need:
A plastic easter egg
A toy motor
A threaded collar (to match the motor shaft)
A short screw, to match the collar
Some wire (I used phone wire)
A battery holder, with a switch (radio shack, or an old toy)
Some fast set epoxy
maybe some Plasti-Dip

Step 1: Don't use these eggs!

I had the wrong kind of eggs, these are split long ways, you really need the ones that are split around the middle. I went ahead and made it with these anyway, just to have it up here for the weekend. If you have the better eggs, you will need to drill a hold in the big end for the motor wire. For the side split I just cut a notch with my clippers.

It's actually quite an entertaining little device. It sure got my attention! Almost as good as my Hitachi Wand!

why do I get the feeling you won't be hiding this egg for Easter... and it won't get hidden outside?

I very well might be hiding it very soon, and it is more of an inside toy...
