Picture of ☆ ADJUSTABLE DOG LEASH ☆
this is a really handy leash, you can make it short or long, and when you go shopping you can tie your dog to a pole without have to take him out of the leash. (I always have my dog with me so it append frequently that he have wait for me few minutes outside of some place).
If you put also a ring in the middle and you ve got a nice dog is also good for going in bicycle, I ve got another leash like that and I put it over one shoulder and under the other (like a safety belt) and it work great.

I have been looking at making my own leash and most use the splicing method. How well does using the smaller rope to make a loop work? I have strong huskies that could pull pretty hard.

the smaller rope work really good, this is in fact the way they use to tie the cart to the horses! so I think it will be fine for your dog. But remember that is really important to make it really tight and to use a rope that wont slip, so that the not will not unravel (that can be the only inconvenience)
