Start by disconnecting the springs from the rat traps' bail.
Cut the "loop" so that you can detatch this part of the bail.
Next using pliers straighten out the bail.
Next mark where the spring overlaps the bail.
What we are doing here is making a smaller bail out of the original bail. Bend the bail in front of where the spring overlaps the bail.
Mark the bail here. This is where you will bend it back toward the coil spring.
Mark the bail here. you are going to bend a loop here. Like the one you cut off in step two.
Like so.
Cut off excess bail wire and pinch closed with pliers to form a loop
Cut off excess spring here. Leave enough to overlap the bail.
Remove lid from altoids tin.

Cut out this section
Lift short end of springs and slide tin underneath them.
Pre-drill and attach altoids tin with small screws. Don't drill the center mark just yet.
For this step you need a screw long enough to go through the rat trap with enough threads to put a couple nuts and a washer on it.
Like so.
In this step i used two nuts a washer and a wiring terminal. This turns to arm the devastator. SEE NEXT STEPS
In this step i cut a section off of a washer.(the red thing)
Next add a nut and tighten. This piece should turn freely. It will be used to arm the device. SEE NEXT STEP
Now fold the bail back, like you're setting the rat trap,twist the wire terminal to the safe position and the RED washer will hold the bail in the rea...
For the next step i cut out a piece of plastic from a food storage container and trimmed it to fit inside the altoid tin SEE NEXT STEPS
This piece launches the projectiles when trap is triggered. I wouldn't use metal for this. It might be damgerous.
