THIS IS THE FIRST PART OF MY FIRST INSTRUCTIBLE, AND I HAVE CHANGED A FEW THINGS ON MY GO KART, I ADDED PADDING TO THE SEAT, GOT DIFFERENT AXLE BOLTS FOR THE WHEELS, PAINTED THE STEERING WHEEL POLE BLACK, AND ADDED AN ELECTRIC HORN WITH A SWITCH THAT RUNS OFF OF AN 18 VOLT BATTERY.

JUST BE CREATIVE WHEN YOU BUILD IT!

Step 1: Pictures

here are the pictures of everything for part 1.

1 seat

2 frame

3 steering box

4 same as 3

5 steering system

6 helmet

7,8,10,11 steering

9 axle mounts (chunks of 4x4 cut to length)

12 spacers to mount the L brackets.

13,14 hand brake(this is temporary)

15 engine mounting plate (just a board that i screwed down)

16 steering connector

17 parts and tools nuts bolts

18 this is the bit i used to drill the hole for the steering wheel and pole(you can convert the whole steering to 3 wheel if you take it all off and use the handlebars of of a minibike through the tip of the 4x4 i used for mounting.)

19 front tire specs

20 hammer harbor freight

21 screws

22,23 the engine i'm going to use.(harbor frieght 6.5 hp preadator engine.)

24-5-6 all wheels and mounting bolts, the bolt goes through the l bracket you see in pic numbers 10,11

27 steering pole

18 drill

19 sawzaw

30 rear wheel, you have to punch out the bearings for the axle.

Step 2: The Build

first you have to build the frame, it simply consists of 2 x 4's and a bit of wood planking for mounting the engine. also you will need some 4 x 4's to mount the axles and steering system.

Step 3: Asemble

A FEW NOTES,

FOLLOW THE PICTURES

IN THE STEERING, MAKE SURE YOU PUT WASHERS BETWEEN ALL SURFACES.

USE GOOD 3 INCH LONG SCREWS FOR ALL THE FRAMING

USE YOUR CREATIVITY AND KNOCK IT OUT!

YOU WILL NEED BEARINGS FOR THE AXLE, AND A SOLID AXLE.

Great looking start to a go kart build. I hope you will post the rest soon.
