Introduction: Acrylic Shoe Shelf

What: Custom built acrylic shoe shelf.
Why Custom: Needed a shoe shelf that would fit my oddly shaped closet.
Why Acrylic: I have access to a laser cutter and I wanted to experiment with the material as practice for my next project.

I made it at Techshop !

Step 1: Sketch

Step 2: Draw Your Cuts

I used CorelDrawX5.

You can use your favorite vector based software.

I have 3 designs to make: Top Shelf, Sides (four identical), and Regular Shelves (three identical)

Step 3: Cut

I used an Epilog Helix Laser with the following settings:

Speed: 19
Power: 90
Frequency: 5000

Don't forget to make your drawing a vector!

Step 4: Assemble

Put it all together and you are done.

You may need to glue it if the fittings are loose.
