I recently got a Sandisk Cruzer Micro USB drive and was disappointed to see that a lot of people have the same one at school.
As far as I know they only come in black and since so many people had the same one as me I wanted to be able to separate mine from everyone else's.
While I was trying to think of ways to do it, the guy in front of me threw his gum wrapper on the floor. I slipped my USB drive in and it was a perfect fit!

Since i've done this everyone that has seen it has loved it.

So add some flavor to your USB drive.

Step 1: Materials

The things you will need to do this are:

1) 5 pack of gum
2) SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB drive (or any other drive of similar size)
3) Knife or scissors
4) Tape
make a cap
is that metal or paper
OMGLOL awesome! I can hide my U3 from my computer-lab teacher now :)
OMG!!!!WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT *chucks flash drive into wall*
i made the same thing two weeks ago!!! same thumb drivee but spearmint gumwraper instead of that
i would use hot glue instead of tape. it holds a lot better.
Max, although I agree with you, telling people not to you use tape when you have been in possession of a hot glue gun for aprox. an hour, and used tape for your USB drive mods, well, I just find that a little funny.
uh...i use hot glue for all my mods, and i've only had the new hot glue for an hour. the other one (it's an ace mini ace, which is totally awesome, btw) i've had for like 10000000000000 years.
Oh... sorry. I didn't know you had another one at your mom's house.
I think it would be helpful to finish it off with a wrap of clear packaging tape to protect the wrapper.
god i didn't know this was here I did this before and recently put it in my flash drive savers instructable... sorry for overlapping
You should do this with the excess Big Red gum.
