Add some flavor to your USB drive

 by kenna989
I recently got a Sandisk Cruzer Micro USB drive and was disappointed to see that a lot of people have the same one at school.
As far as I know they only come in black and since so many people had the same one as me I wanted to be able to separate mine from everyone else's.
While I was trying to think of ways to do it, the guy in front of me threw his gum wrapper on the floor. I slipped my USB drive in and it was a perfect fit!

Since i've done this everyone that has seen it has loved it.

So add some flavor to your USB drive.

i would use hot glue instead of tape. it holds a lot better.

Max, although I agree with you, telling people not to you use tape when you have been in possession of a hot glue gun for aprox. an hour, and used tape for your USB drive mods, well, I just find that a little funny.

uh...i use hot glue for all my mods, and i've only had the new hot glue for an hour. the other one (it's an ace mini ace, which is totally awesome, btw) i've had for like 10000000000000 years.

I was about to do this! good thing i searched to make sure. Great Job! What i did was while chewing gum in the library, i just put a juicy fruit wrapper (not the pack) and glued the edges with on the fly chewed gum. Another idea was for capped drives, separate into two parts and have the foil on the cap.

I think it would be helpful to finish it off with a wrap of clear packaging tape to protect the wrapper.

You should do this with the excess Big Red gum.
