Adjustable Mini LED Flashlight
Do you want a small flashlight that you can change the brightness on? Do you have some LEDs and potentionometer (pots) in your junk box? Well i did, so i built myself a mini LED flashlight. This is a very simple you can do in 10 minutes or less.

Step 1Materials

You can probably find everything you need to make this in your junk box. The only thing you might heve to buy is some perf board.

Materials:
2 LEDs of your choice-Ones that can handle 4 volts
Perf board-The stuff that you build circuts on
PotentionometerI have no idea what value mine is
9 volt battery snap connectorI love 'em
9 volt battery
9 volt battery holder
Double sided tape-Or you can just use hot glue

Tools:
Soldering iron
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
Hot glue gun

Do those leds really operate on four volts? (what's written on the package, 3 or 4 volts?) it it's 3 volts, you need 3 leds, or a resistor

The pot is a variable resistor, so you could just use it to limit the voltage going to the LEDs. It would be best practice to add a fixed resistor so you don't wear out the LEDs, however. Especially since you are supplying 9 volts, and the two 4 volt LEDs in series only need 8 volts.
