"The heat wave is on this summer in America ..."

There's a heat wave somewhere in America EVERY summer. So, what's new?

Please add my year old 'structible, http://www.instructables.com/id/Too-Hot-Remove-heat-from-your-body-with-the-Back-/

Why cool the entire room or vehicle when the only object that is suffering from heat is the human! Remove heat from the body!

Here in the Central Valley of California it's 103 degrees and yes it's just about midsummer. We usually have 90+ weather from end of May into September. Drive to the coast anywhere from Morro Bay north to San Francisco (3 hours) and it is typical summer there which is highs in the mid 60's, lows mid 50's(Pacific ocean temperature), and often foggy. Actually if you stick to the coast that's the weather all the way to Canada, over a thousand miles of almost the same weather.

It's a little bit hot here. We live in the Philippines near the equator. Highest temperature we got was 37 oC, pretty hot.

A lot of the "ice bucket" coolers will sweat condensation leaving water where you might not want it.

I call that an off-(if not "near")-the-grid water source!

Our mid to high 90s & 100-degree heat w/ equally high humidity is killing us. I'm afraid our light bill is going to get out of hand again this year b/c I can't take the heat nor can my husband like we used to we could. He's still fighting the repercussions of having 2 heart attacks (mild then massive within less than an hour) and a stroke req. a quad bypass surgery plus he has juvenile diabetes. I'm fighting lupus (SLE type) and Sjogren's not to mention early-onset menopause. Fans don't help me b/c it causes my eyes to dry out to the point where it's extremely painful & can trigger migraines I've fought since childhood. The one medication that worked the best at helping keep my eyes moist is one I can't get & haven't for the last 4-5 years thanks to Medicare. They put it on the not-included list so I had to start taking another one, which doesn't work at all. It's a waste of money, even if it is a co-pay, to buy the drug they will cover. The one they won't cover is a few hundred dollars and well out of my reach financially esp since I can't work (initially b/c of retinal eye disease but later due to lupus & sjogren's) and now DH can't work either w/o risking another heart attack & with the severity of the damage to his heart, another heart attack would likely kill him so now we're fighting to get him on disability. I hope this atty can get his disability pushed through. I surely couldn't although his doctors all agree he should be able to get disability b/c it is more than obvious to any doctor with a medical degree that he can't work, not anything substantial that wouldn't kill him. He can't go more than 15 to 20 mins just tinkering on stuff before chest pressure then pain kicks in. So yeah, I'd say we have a case but try proving it to SSA.

I want him to check into some of these ideas. perhaps there will be a few that we can try that will allow me some relief without drying my eyes out in the process or running the light bill so high I can't afford to pay it. Living solely on my SSDI just isn't enough these days.  Thanks for posting your inventions. I just want you to know someone out here truly appreciates it.
