Air blasters Double shot airsoft hack!

This instructable will tell you how make your double shot gun to to fire
small bbs or even green rods from knex.

All you will need:
Nerf tm darts.
Air blaster's tm Double Shot
Shells for the gun.
A thick straw that just fits the shell.
(Must be able to fit a Nerf dart inside.)
bbs or small knex rods
Tape, scissors

Step 1: The straw

Take your straw and place it into your shell, mark a line on
the straw where the shell ends. Cut around that line so
u have a tube about the same size as the shell.
If the straw is loose place some tape around the bottom.

Step 2: The inner tube.

Now take the nerf dart and pull out the rubber tip so you are left with
foam tube.

Step 3: Insert to the outer tube.

Simply push the smoother side of the modded dart into the
outer tubing until it reaches the other end.

Step 4: Sticking them together!

Take some more tape not to much and secure the inner and outer tubing
together. Remember to tape the side with the tape!
Then take the original shell and insert the straw into it
until you can't see the taped side.

Step 5: Loading and firing!

Load the shells with the bbs or with simple knex pieces.
Then place inside the gun and fire away!

This hack allows the gun to shoot at least 20-30ft with knex green rods.
Sorry but I've ran out of bbs so I can't give any
info.

Step 6: "UPDATE"

ding ding ding ding ding!!!!!!

In case you haven't really noticed you can use this mod on most air blasting

nerf guns!!!

Such as the Rapid fire tek

Bow gun thingy

NOT the tommy twenty duh

Maybe the maverick - Only do if ur prepared to stuff your gun ( freindly reminder)

and a few others definetly not the recon cs-6.

Sadly as of a day or so ago the gun has fired its last shot ... and now um it's dead???

The range is OK. The gun has some kick and the darts can sting from close range. I actually shot myself with it (I know, not a good idea) just to see how much power it has. I think that you are good with modifying the gun.

NerfHaven have a mod for it, basically sawing off the barrel to the end of the grip (making it like a sawn-off shotgun) improves the distance my about 10-20 feet, makes it look cooler, makes it more compact and stops jams and stuff happening because the barrel is actually a little too wide for the darts and it loses too much air pressure.

my airsoft mod is way better. just take off the rubber tips, and find two airsoft barrels. stick the barrels into the dart and then into the shell. your shell must have all A.R.s out and be empty for this mod to work. mine shoots around 120 feet with .12 gram bbs

hmm i was able to get a few thousand bbs and this works so much better now also i found out that the straw put more presure on the bb so i'd recomend that then using tape.

I'm not sure, I was over at my friends house and his dad had a chronograph, so I measured mine with just duct tape and it went average of 127 FPS. Ill try the straw now

Yep it works real good actually but you may not be able to use the clip-mag also if you have a nerf vulcan you need to try it!!!!!!!

I just bought one of those today. so paint it ans scare little kids with it(It looks GREAT) but i thought that little elastic string to hold it closed and stuff is the thng that cocks the gun. DONT CUT IT!!!!!! it makes the whole gun useless

its too late for that now but i might buy another one. I sawed off the butt of the gun (the part with the ammo holder).

do i need the straw only to keep the dart from flying away? if yes, you can also put this silver tape (which have these net texture) on the dart, it will also stick in the barrel.

Well I did the mod with this gun it works so much better really. But I'm not sure they still sell it.

And really I'm not so sure why I placed a straw around it. Probably because when I placed Knex peices inside it, it deforms. But the straw sorta retains it.
