Step 3 Preparing to fiberglass an outside tube.

Buy a section of 2 inch schedule 40 ABS or PVC pipe. I use ABS since it is less expensive and is black.

Wrap the pipe in wax paper.
Then wrap it again with mylar film. 

Measure out the length you want for the fiberglass tube and mark with a sharpie.

Place the tube on a stand or run a rod down the middle and suspend somehow. You need to be able to rotate the tube when applying the resin and the fiberglass cloth.

what is mold release?

its like "Pam" for resin casting or mold making. Just a substance that keeps resin or epoxy from sticking to something. You do not really need it. This project is not that precise.

If you don't mind me asking where can I get the mylar film? I asked at Home Depot and they didn't know what the hell i was asking for. Please HELP!!!!

Tap Plastics store. I purchased mylar same time I got the epoxy, fiberglass, and acetone. Several layers of wax paper works too - just not as clean or smooth as plastic film.

look for a "survival blanket"

any suitable plastic film will do. Just test that the epoxy does NOT stick to the plastic. What ever plastic film you have on hand, if you can seperate the plastic from a glob of epoxy, it will do.
