Step 4 Preparing the fiberglass

Most people work with fiberglass matt for small projects because it is very cheap. However, I find using fiberglass cloth is much easier as we are working with a small diameter curve and cloth is more flexible. Cloth also gives a smoother finish.

Buy Cloth tape 10-12 inches wide by 2 yards long. Cut up the cloth to wrap the tube with 2-3 layers.

I had a choice between polyester resin and epoxy resin. I went with general purpose epoxy as it has no odor and does not shrink as it cures.

It is fiberglasss cloth tape used to make the outer tube.

Yup, i found it easier and cheaper to by really wide fg tape than it was to buy a yard of fg cloth. Less cutting and shaping involved and I don't end up with too much material that I dont need. Why buy a square yard of fb cloth when all I really need is a piece 2 ft x 1 ft. Plus fg tape has better edges.

The MadBull will hold FOUR .68" paintballs.

there is a foam rocket available with a .68 hole on the tip. Is was designed to hold one paintball. That rockets fits in this launcher.

i am allergic to fiberglass :( will anything else work?

skip the fiberglass and build my other launcher. Or use carbon fiber.

whats the fiberglass for anyways? is it necessary? cuz me and my friend are making one out of just the pvc pipe painted green and the coupler and we are gonna just manually press the button on the back of the grenade
