Introduction: Airsoft W.I.C.O. Mine

About: I'm also known as 'Capt. Johnny Cash, 42nd Special Sabre Regiment.

This is a description on how to build a very cheap and very easy to make booby trap for use in airsoft games.

< PROTECT YOUR FACE WHILE USING >

It is powerfull and effectively tested in game.

This is the material you need for it:
An old fashioned Rat trap, two small screws, one longer screw and a 'screw eye' (excuse me for any language mistakes, I'm Dutch), old jeans or other strong cloth.

The tools I used:
Electric screw driver, small drill, scissors, pliers and spray paint

You also need some rope, tent pins and BB's to make it work... ;-)

Step 1: (optional) Pre-drill Holes

This step will make it easier to screw in the wood of the Rat trap.

These two holes are made to make the trigger. You might also want to make two small holes on the opposite side.

Look at 2nd image to see the trigger system.

Step 2: Cut Your Jeans

Cut a piece of cloth as wide as the rat trap it self and about 28 cm long, fold it in half (the long way), and cut a hole at the end of the loose ends.

Step 3: Take of the Spring

Use your pliers to take the spring of the clamp.

Step 4: Fold Cloth Over Clamp

Fold your piece of cloth over the clamp, and screw the loose ends to the side.
<Don't forget to put the 'trigger pin' through the holes in the cloth.>

Step 5: Attach Spring Back on the Clamp

Use pliers to put the spring back on the clamp.

The second image shows you the finished result of your 'WICO mine'.

Step 6: Using the W.I.C.O. Mine

<use spray paint to camouflage the mine>

Set the booby trap as a normal rat trap. Hold the trigger up with one hand and fold a 'cup' in the cloth with the other and put some BB's in.
Set your trip wire and use the 'trigger system' to set the trigger of the W.I.C.O. mine.

I use some old tent pins to keep the mine in place.

Step 7: Finished W.I.C.O. Mines

In the pictures you can see how I painted the W.I.C.O. mines with black paint for camouflage.
