Step 6Sidearm
dont a spring pistol, it will be practically useless.
An AEP is good for the uk (cold weather) but can be slow to respond (pull the trigger and there will be a slight delay)
A gas gun is probably a better choice, although you have to take into account...
Co2 guns tend to be overpowered, Gas guns in general don't like the cold and you have to buy gas.
however the amount of times my pistol has got me out of trouble (if someone gets too close to snipe) they are worth having in some situations

i prefur a gasto electric gun any day cause it is more versitl
1. They still have crappy performance.
2. Reloads are so weird (those little sliver mags?)
3. Batteries are tiny (this party contributes to the crappy performance)
4. Upgrades are one in a bajillion
5. Gas is usually not a problem for me, like I said I carry them in utility pouches. And Madbull does produce a small CO2 canister adaptor (pop a CO2 12g cartridge in, fill your mags with it)
EBBs are fail. Over-complicate things.
1. the performance is enough for what it is, a backup weapon. pistols as primaries tend to be pointless (i say tend to be there are a small amount of people who can use them well)
2. not that weird plus smaller mags and cheaper mags mean more room for spare mags
3 and 4. if you get a semi decent aep higher voltage and mah batts are easily available along with a variety of upgrade parts
5. yes lets all put unregulated c02 in a weapon designed for green gas, or even duster gas (in the case of tm) c02 should only be used in c02 pistols end of
google helps... you may want to try using it to make sure you are right before posting things such as your last post
2. They still feel really weird. But yes, you can keep a shitload of them in your pack
3/4 (since you decided to group them). Have you seen the battery space on a TM G17 AEP? It's not much. I may be wrong on the parts thing (I haven't seen a whole lot of them though), but like you pointed out in #1, it'll still be pointless.
5. I never said it was a good idea. I'm just saying, if you're worried about a green gas canister taking up too much room, it's an option.
Basically we can agree to disagree; one thing we can agree on (I think) is that there are a lot of back-yarders on Instructables.
1. a pistol is commonly used as a secondary/backup and aep's do this fine
(or for you) a pistol is for when the big gun has no more ammo
2.1. watch your language profanity only shows you lack both originality and intelligence.
(or for you) don't swear/cuss
2.2 wow you understood that one but don't feel that weird
3+4. yes but did you know a bigger mah battery doesn't take up that much extra space, nor does extra voltage (funnily enough there was a guy using a tm g17 aep today with an upgraded battery and didn't have any trouble or any need to mod the pistol to get it in). Upgrades to a pistol are not pointless, anything that ups accuracy is usually a good idea (its not all about fps)
(or for you) batteries are about the same physical size, you obviously have trouble grasping the point of upgrades
4. you leave your green gas in the safe zone. the c02 adapter isn't an option unless you want to destroy your non c02 pistol
(or for you) learn to read
and as for your final comment. you should know all about backyarders as you have about the same knowledge about airsoft as the majority of them. (notice i say majority and not all being as not all backyarders i have met are as slow as you) i would assume if you ever got into a full on skirmish you would be a liability to your team or end up mistaking regrouping team mates for hostiles and opening on them.
(or for you) you be dumb
