Ouch, man, I never knew the UK was so dang strict...
Feel for ye' mate, I really do. Jus' means I'm stickin with the USA standards for now, and dont bash a spring pistol.
My old Spring M9 (that cost me 29.99$ US) is a higher quality weapon than my AEP M9 or my Mauser C-96 C02 (costing 99.99$ US and 156.99$ US respectively) Bought at my local sporting goods store.

Not true. Me and a few of my friends (in the uk) all own airsoft guns (2 tone or clear) and take them down to the woods, in a remote location where barely anyboy goes.

We get by there ok... Occasional scarpering as sirens get too close for comfort... you get the idea.

I liked your guide as a whole. i'm a huge airsoft fan as well! the only things that i noticed were: i have been to different airsoft matches around the US, and most of the gun fps limits are somewhere between 350-450 for AEGs. also, there is a lot more to consider when buyin your first "real" airsoft gun i got an MP5 because i love CQB, but potential upgrades, and reliablility are a huge factor as well. i think that it is a good idea to get a gun that will fit your mission, e.g. M16s are great for longer range combat, and P90s not so much.

cool guide. I'm a big airsoft fan myself. With that whole mask thing I think you're right because I always find my self hitting people in the head and once my friend unloaded on me with two pistols because I shot him in the head with my 370fps AK.
