Once you have got the pants and shirt that suit you.
Lay the netting out over the top of them, stretch the netting out and weigh it down, I used a few spanners.

Start cutting alteast 2 inches more than needed as you fold it over. Then you can start to glue the net onto your bdu's, as shown.

why you glue the net and not sewing it on bdu?

sewing takes a really long time, but would probably be more durable.

You shold sew it and dab shoe goo on the intersections.

actually sew and shoe goo have the same strength but it would be smarter to sew like you say.

personally i would sew but i would also use glue over the places i sew to help protect the thread from rain depending on the type of thread you use. but i understand the australian weather. i do alot of hog deer hunting in gipsland.

GAH! The hardware store only had 3/8 inch netting, and it has been a nightmare. The second it came out of the package it tangled up and I spent half an hour tangling it. It came in like a 10 feet by 10 feet pack so i took another half hour cutting the netting apart. Now I'm stuck (No pun intended) with glueing it onto the ghillie suit.

Couple of questions:
Wouldn't the glue make the suit stiff?
Should I be wearing the suit so that the netting isn't pinned on so theres...giant airbubbles?... in it? Ohhh you know what I mean.

You should use shoe goo becuse its flexible. And you want the netting to
have give so the suit does not resrict movement. Imagine a sniper in a warzone fiddling with his shirt becuse its to tight....

if u want shoo goo to get hard faster use a hair dryer :P just the first min's or if u want a high energy bill just a hour of 2 :P or just 10 min 10 letting it and then 10 min with dryer again worked fine for me :P

I use this blue plastic sort of netting that you put over fish ponds in you're garden it works just as well and you cant see the netting once its all finished, But I recommend making sure there is more camouflage on your back as snipers often lay down to take the shot.

i made a ghille suit with heavy duty double sided tape and i just took some grass then i put it on the shirt and pants with a little bit of hot glue(it didn't work as well as i hoped).

i don't understand that comment. Why wouldn't he call BDU's BDU's? I am in JROTC and I call them BDU's.
Oct 29, 2008. 4:34 PMsmmiller506 says:
Because not everyone calls them BDUs. U.S. Marines call their uniforms Cammies, from camouflage utilities.
Nov 11, 2008. 5:51 PMc ssgt seifer says:
Thank you for the response, but I was talking about the official name. After I did some research I found that you were right. The camo uniforms are known as Utility Uniforms.

No hard feelings. I happen to be in the Marines, so I put my two cents in, lol. And I see what you meant about about the official name. Sorry about that.
