Alligator Snapping Turtle sculpture made from recuperated stripped computer cables

This turtle's back was woven from a large (large!) box of obsolete computer cables I received from a techie friend. I also used some small gauge wire from the inside of small motors, a pair of earrings for the eyes, a fishing lure for the turtle's tongue "worm". The turquoise around the shell is some of the plastic sheathing I stripped off the wire. I used new galvanized steel wire and chicken wire for the frame and some new green-coated copper wire for the colour on the head and legs.

Turtle dimensions: 36”(l) x 18”(w) x 11”(h)

Wire sculpture is what I do - check out my other sculptures at www.lbrunetta.ca

Cheers, Lisa Brunetta

I'm working on making it an instructable - just putting all the pieces together. Stay tuned!

And thanks Jessy for the art love!
