Wonderful, I'd re-think saying "use your guns" when demonstrating for the impressionable little people, but with the increasing fear of "hand guns" a little systematic desensitization could be a good thing. A friend taught me back in the mid-80's what she called the "Chinese way to tie your shoe". Over 20 years of shoe tie challenges, undefeated, it is about time for some competition. I like to call it the "double grasp, twist , hook, n pull" move. :) nice

I've been looking for a way to teach my 6 year old how to tie. He just doesn't have the dexterity for the bunny business. This is a great alternative. I saw the ian knot, but this "use your guns" method is easier than the fold two loops in opposite directions mess. I think I will try this with him tomorrow!
