Is it really that healthy to cook food over burning cotton balls?

an easy way to solve burnt-up toothpicks is to soak them in water for about fifteen minutes. really, this is so tiny you don't even need the candle- just something flammable! love this 'ible. thanks for posting it

step 3 states that add more flammable liquid well what sort of liquid i imagine only alchohol would be safe to use without the fumes? and what sort of paint it on the mint tin?cos ive put mint tins in a fire when making charcoal and the situation was very sooty
any way decent ible

When I was a boy scout (way back when) we used to make cooking stoves out of metal tins and candles.
Involved cutting cardboard into strips that fit into the tin, packing them in (corrugations outwards), charring it, then filling it with molten candle wax.

The whole thing acted as one large candle, then were particularly handy for boiling cups of water.

Or as we used them for later, making missles out of deoderant cans (not that I could possibly condone such a thing.)
