Here is a desk top decoration that will get you in the spirit of Halloween. They are quick and easy to make and do not require a lot of supplies. These would make unique Halloween party favors. I used some pumpkin straws but regular colored straws work nicely. The kids would enjoy making these for their friends.

Step 1: Supplies

Here is the list:
 • Plastic straws
 • Magnet strip
 • Halloween stickers
 • Black paper
 • Tape
 • Scissors
 • Empty Altoids container
 • Finger LED lights
 • Pen

Step 2: Getting Started

Instructions:
 • Trace the lid of the Altoids can on the black paper.
 • Cut out the shape.
 • Tape the shape to the lid of the can.
 • Decorate the top with several stickers.

Step 3: The Magnet

Attaching the magnet:
 • Cut a small piece of the magnet to tape to the LED light.
 • Tape the magnet piece to the LED light as shown.

Please note: You want to tape it to the flat edge where there is no switch.

Step 4: The Straws

Instructions for the straws:
 • Mark the length of the Altoids can on the straws.
 • Cut them slightly shorter than your mark.

Step 5: Attaching the Straws to the LED Lights

Instructions:
 • Test the lights to make sure they work.
 • Tape the straws to the LED lights as shown.
 • You may make them shorter if you like.
 • Turn them on and stick them to the can.

Step 6: Placing the Lights in the Altoids Can

Instructions:
 • The straws go into the Altoids can.
 • The LED lights are stuck to the top of the Altoids can for storing when not in use.

Step 7: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts

Led lights are so great! They seem to last forever. I love to use them for a lot of my crafts. These turned out so nice. I like quick and easy projects like these. It makes it fun and is easy enough to do with the kids.

Thanks for stopping in! Please do check back because I have a lot more projects coming up and I do post often! Take care of yourself and your family! Have a super day!

Thanks for commenting flyingpuppy! Have a beautiful weekend!
Sunshiine
Very creative! Are you going to submit this for the Altoids Tin contest?
Now that they limit how many entries we can enter total, I need to decided which one to enter. I was surprised not many people have entered that contest. There are so many things to do with an Altoids can. Thanks so much for commenting zazenergy! And please remember to . . . . . . . . have a splendorous day!

Sunshiine
