Well I was looking and everyone seems to be making altoid tin kits so I did to.

Is a mess kit like a little stove?

that and a little more,
normally a feild mess kit would have cooking, water prurification, rations, sometimes 1st aid, etc.. all combined in 2 mess tins slotted within one another, dead handy

i had 2 sets, one full of cooking stuff (tin openers, matches (and the ones that light underwater), hexiblock stove, water purification tablets. and the other full of food rations, coffee, tea, powdered bilk (the milk powder packets had PB on them so i named them that), as well as dried food packs, nasty biscuit things and small tins of chicken paste. tho this depended on wat u could cram in X3
