Introduction: Amazing Paper Airplane

This is my first Instructable so bear with me OK.

Recently my friend made this airplane up and it flew so well that I just had to share it with everyone. He used different techniques than I do. Somehow his flies better than the ones I make. I think this happens in the steps where you make the waterbomb base (the triangle). He doesn't fold back like I show. Instead he just pulls the paper together into the base, then creases it.

Step 1: Materials

Start with a regular sheet of 8.5 X 11 paper.

Step 2: Fold 1

Fold one corner down, then unfold.

Step 3: Fold 2

Fold the other corner down, then unfold.

Step 4: Fold 3

Optional: Flip paper over and fold like shown. If you cannot see where to fold look at the second picture for help.

Then unfold and flip over.

Step 5: Fold 4

Press down in the center and flatten to form a triangle.

Step 6: Waterbomb Base

Now we are going to form the waterbomb base as it is called in origami.

Step 7: Fold 5

First fold the triangle's corners to the top.

Step 8: Fold 6

Fold up the bottom corners of the square like shown.

Then unfold to form the triangle again.

Step 9: Fold 7

Fold back on the first crease.

Step 10: Fold 8

Fold both corners down over the paper.

Fold up the rest of the way.

Step 11: Fold 9

Fold the tip down.

The second picture shows a close-up on the pocket that has been made for the next step.

Step 12: Fold 10

Tuck the flaps into the pocket.

Step 13: Fold 11

Fold in half.

Step 14: Fold 12

Fold wings down as shown.

Step 15: Fold 13

Fold the fins.

Step 16: Flying

Before flying shape the paper airplane as shown in the first picture.

When flying this paper airplane there isn't really a set hardness you have to throw this plane. Some that I've made need to be thrown hard, others not so hard.
