For this elephant I used worsted weight yarn and an E/4 hook.

Step 1: Body

Row 1: Magic ring, 6 sc       (6)       Don't cut the end of the yarn off
Row 2: inc around                (12)
Row 3: inc, sc around         (18)
Row 4: 2 sc, inc                    (24)
Row 5: inc, 3 sc                    (30)
Row 6: 4 sc, inc                    (36)

Pull the tail out by poking the needle through the magic ring and pull the end of yarn out.

Row 7-14: sc around           (36)
Row 15: dec, 4 sc                (30)
Row 16: 3 sc, dec                (24)
Row 17: dec, 2 sc                (18)
Row 18: sc, dec around     (12)
Row 19: dec around            (6)

Fasten off. Weave loose end through each stitch in the opening. Pull tightly to close.
So cute! Very simple question - do you make them to sell? It's very frustrating for me. You see, I know how to do the stitches but I've never learned to read patterns. My brain requires being shown how to do it. I've nearly driven myself crazy trying to figure out a pattern, then had someone show me and I found it very simple.<br>Anyway, I collect elephants and don't have one like yours. If you DO sell them, I'd like one all in 'elephant gray.'<br>Anyway, great job! Live it!
And don't forget to stuff it with cotyon
I discovered you can make multiple ones in all different colors because I didn't have any teal, so I used red instead
Awww! He makes me think of heffalumps!
Thank you!
