Introduction: Amigurumi Keroberos

Kero is the guardian of the book which holds the Clow Cards in the Cardcaptor Sakura manga series and television series. Finished size is about 2 inches plus the long tail. I used a modified version of this pattern. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=169562.0

Supplies:

1.50 mm hook

Size 10 crochet thread (white, yellowish orange and light yellow)

Scissors

Cardboard

Sewing needle (large) and thread (black)

Step 1: Head

Head (yellowish orange):

R1: 6 SC into ring (6 SC)
R2: 2-SC INC around (12 SC)
R3: *SC 1, 2-SC INC into next SC * around. (18 SC)
R4: * SC 2, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (24 SC)
R5: * SC 3, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (30 SC)
R6: * SC 4, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (36 SC)
R7: * SC 5, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (42 SC)
R8: 1 SC in each SC around. (42 SC)
R9: *SC 6, 2-SC INC into next SC * around. (48 SC)
R10-16: 1 SC in each SC around. (48 SC)
R17: *SC 6, 2-DEC into next SC * around. (42 SC)
R18: 1 SC in each SC around. (42 SC)
R19: *SC 5, 2-DEC into next SC * around. (36 SC)
R20: *SC 4, 2-DEC into next SC * around. (30 SC)

Fasten off. Leave a 6 inch tail for attaching. Stuff with polyester filling. Set aside.

Step 2: Body

Body (yellowish orange):

R1: 6 SC into ring (6 SC)
R2: 2-SC INC around (12 SC)
R3: *SC 1, 2-SC INC into next SC * around. (18 SC)
R4: * SC 2, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (24 SC)
R5-14: 1 SC in each SC around. (24 SC)

R15: *SC 1, 2-DEC into next SC * around. (18 SC)

Fasten off. Stuff with polyester filling. Set aside.

Step 3: Arms and Legs

Arms x2 (yellowish orange):

R1: 6 SC into ring (6 SC)
R2: *SC 2, 2-SC INC into next SC * around. (8 SC)

R3-7: 1 SC in each SC around. (8 SC)

Fasten off. Leave a 6 inch tail for attaching. Stuff with polyester filling. Set aside.

Legs x2 (yellowish orange):

R1: 6 SC into ring (6 SC)
R2: 2-SC INC around (12 SC)
R3-8: 1 SC in each SC around. (12 SC)

Fasten off. Leave a 6 inch tail for attaching. Stuff with polyester filling. Set aside.

Step 4: Ears

Outer ears x2 (yellowish orange):

R1: 6 SC into ring (6 SC)
R2: 2-SC INC around (12 SC)
R3: *SC 1, 2-SC INC into next SC * around. (18 SC)
R4: * SC 2, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (24 SC)

R5-8: 1 SC in each SC around. (24 SC)

Fasten off. Leave a 6 inch tail for attaching. Stuff with polyester filling. Set aside.

Inner ears x2 (light yellow):

R1: 3 SC into ring, (3 SC)
R2: 2-SC INC around (6 SC)
R3: *SC 1, 2-SC INC into next SC * around. (9 SC)
R4: * SC 2, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (12 SC)
R5: * SC 3, 2- SC INC into next SC * around. (15 SC)

Fasten off. Set aside.

Step 5: Wings and Tail

wings (white):

R1: CH 10
R2: 2-SC INC around until 13 (13 SC)
R3: CH 8
R4: 2-SC INC around until 12 (12 SC)
R5: CH 6
R6: 2-SC INC around until 6 (6 SC)

Fasten off. Leave a 6 inch tail for attaching. Set aside.

Tail (yellowish orange):

CH 35

Tail pompom (white):

Cut 2 penny sized circles and use a hole puncher to make the center hole. Place both pieces of cardboard together and wrap the thread around it. Repeat until the cardboard is completely covered.

Cut the yarn around the edge putting the scissors between the two pieces of card board. Move a piece of tread between the 2 pieces of cardboard and tie it tight twice. Attach pompom to the end of the tail.

Step 6: Assembly

Assembly:
Using the tail that was left on to sew attach the head to body lining up the stitches. Repeat this for arms and legs. Attach tail. Sew the inner ear to the outer ear and attach on top of the head. Using the tail that was left on to sew attach the wings to the body. Using a needle and thread create a face. Use a marker to make the little swirly marks on the back of his wings.
