An Afghan for Oscar

An Afghan for Oscar
My newphew Oscar didn't want the woolley hat I offered, he wanted a big Afghan knitted in red, white, blue and green. ugly colours I thought, but the finished article turned out a treat. It's the American Beauty Rose pattern taken from The Ultimate Book of Knit Afghans by American School of Needlework. I used my own colour combination of stripes to suit Oscar's choice! I used oddments of yarn from my stash including Lion Brand Woolease (the blue and green yarns)http://cache.lionbrand.com//yarns/woolease.htm Here's the result. We were both very pleased!
