Introduction: An Imperfect Beer

The following steps should allow the reader to draw an imperfect pint of beer using Adobe Illustrator.

Step 1: Step 1

Using the Ellipse tool, draw an Oval.

Step 2: Step 2

Draw a second oval about half diameter of the first. Place the second oval the distance of one vertical pint glass below the first oval.

Step 3: Step 3

Using the line segment tool, connect the ovals to form the sides of a pint glass.

Step 4: Step 4

Draw a third oval below the first and at an appropriate distance.

Step 5: Step 5

Select and copy the small oval at the bottom of the glass. Place this copy just below the copied oval so that they overlap.

Step 6: Step 6

Using the line segment tool, connect the two smaller ovals.

Step 7: Step 7

Using the direct selection tool, select and delete the two top segments of the bottom oval.

Step 8: Step 8

Using the direct selection tool, select and delete the two top segments of the second oval from the top of the glass.

Step 9: Step 9

Using the selection tool, select all parts of the glass.

Step 10: Step 10

With all segments of the glass still selected, use the "Live Paint Bucket" tool to apply beer-like colors to parts of the pint glass.

Step 11: Step 11

Add bubbles somehow.

Step 12: Not Real Beer

Accept that your drawing of beer is imperfect. The only perfect beer being the one that you hold in your hand.
