Step 1Getting ready

Getting ready
Ok. first if your like me than you have probably had a model rocket and either lost it or broke it. So if you look in your model rocket kit their should be a little medal disk that the rocket launches off of. So get that out and get ready to make an awsome ninja star!!!

FYI, CONCERNING THE RUST, BE IT BY ACCIDENT OR WHAT. tHE TRUE NINJA STARS ARE NOT NICE SHINY EMBOSSED WEAPONS, BUT THEY WERE VERY SIMILAR TO THIS AND PUT IN PILES OF ANIMAL DUNG TO "INTENTIONALLY" RUST. THE REASON WAS TO INFECT THE TARGET WITH LOADS OF BACTERIA. THE STARS WERE NOT LETHAL WEAPONS BUT JUST DETERANTS TO STOP AN ENEMY PERSUIT OR AGAIN CAUSE A LETHAL INFECTION LATER. "THROWING STARS" WERE NEVER INTENDED TO BE A LETHAL WEAPPON! GIVE THE KID A BREAK HE IS MORE ACUERATE THEN MOST INSTRUCTABLES!

ouch my ears are bleeding! lol but seriously good points thre. I almost forgot their true use..damn cartoons and stories glorified them as more lethal than reality was.

Nov 29, 2009. 1:53 AMxdoomzyx says:
What no they dont. "Real Ninjas" as you put it use 5,6,and 7 pointed as well. Look up on google or something for a ninja museum and it'll show you more then just a 4 pointed star

Stars are cool, but remember that in most states, if not every state, throwing stars are illegal weapons. Just getting caught with this is a serious charge, usually a felony. So, while you can make these things pretty easily and play around with them on your own property, you need to remember all the brainwashed people who think you shouldn't own anything that resembles a weapon. Incidentally, I think you should be able to own anything you can build with your own two hands, guns, bombs, cars, planes, boats, robots, computers, or well, even a cannon.

ya i think you should beable to have throwing stars as long as its in your prperty cuz who would rob a bank with them a 8 year old could make thet with cliper and a file

Feb 9, 2009. 3:03 PMuber man says:
you did a good job, but just one point to clear up, ninja "stars" were actually four pointed not the traditional five point stars
Mar 18, 2008. 12:39 PMawatson2006 says:

oh oops forgot to add something. I think you can also make this from a tomato can lid. I think I saw it somewhere on another I'ble. ... I think your I'ble is really good tho still.

hey i know. no need 2 shout... I think it's a good instructable too. It's actually one of the best instructables i've ever seen considering it's his first... even tho the stars look cooler without rust. Oh yes, I almost forgot, your'e right about the rust thing, I've read it sumwhere, but these probably not supposed 2 be used as weps. that would be illegal.
Dec 23, 2007. 1:41 PMAllonsy says:
can this like shoot though anything if u throw it real hard? like pepsi cans? or things like that? otherwise nice instructable... P.S. if u want to take away the rust on the star ive tried rubbing rust with an eraser it works a bit if you work on it...for a loooooooong time...
