Evil Computer Pranks *Updated* by knex_mepalm
DSC00006.JPG
Hi and welcome to one of my longest computer projects, it took me a while to figure out how to do this the fastest and painfully way possible. It is the Random Access Memory Waster.
Programmed to: Make incredible amounts of folders at once, thus using lots of RAM and filling up a lot of space. It is still in BETA so please test and give comments. It works for me though and you cannot run this on Vista or 7 or mackintosh unless you can run batch on it!

DISCLAIMER: I am legally not responsible for any damage to pain done whatsoever by this object.

*UPDATED* Changed to new computer pranks, I have a new awesome computer prank which will actually fill up the space in the computer and do itself over and over again. It will copy itself to autorun and run every startup. At the end of the file there is a infinite message annoying the user causing the user to reboot and it happens all over again. Next update- attach a game to it.
I got angry and I caught the MSN myspace virus i need help and I got bored so I made this.

Pros:
14000 folders in 8 seconds
invisible (to the non-nerdy person)
A pain ( to stop it and to delete the folders)
A lot of folders ( up to around 1000000000000 different folders and names and then it does this: 10000000000000+1, 100000000000+2 and so on.)
Cons:
Can't stop it ( unless you turn off your PC or find a way please.)
Only for pranks (if you trick people to doing this you are in a big boo boo!
Now the instructions!

matrix828 says: Feb 26, 2010. 10:37 AM
i love this idea. brilliant. did you make it yourself? is it self-running?
oh and if you make it make loads of .ZIP files, would that take up more space?

5* and fav
xXxXlife-is-beautifulXxXx says: Jan 5, 2011. 12:31 PM
.ZIP files are actually compression files of a group of items. so no it would take up less
knex_mepalm (author) says: Feb 27, 2010. 12:29 AM
 Did you make it yourself?
Yes.

Is it self-running?
No check my forum for one that does.

If you make loads of .zip files, would that take up more space?
No And I have no idea how to make zip files with batch ( yes, this is batch not much programming...hehe...I sorta cheated its not vbs)

matrix828 says: Feb 27, 2010. 1:15 AM
hehe.
is the file like this:
@echo off
:A
md file
goto A

??? whats your forum address?
knex_mepalm (author) says: Mar 1, 2010. 1:47 AM
kinda, I like %0 more better now and I learnt more since this one. SOme guy from my class wants to know VBS, I told him the basics and he literally ripped his hair out...that was so hilarious, and he did it in the school library
matrix828 says: Mar 1, 2010. 8:56 AM
did he actually rip his hair out? lol xD
knex_mepalm (author) says: Mar 2, 2010. 8:19 PM

knex_mepalm (author) says: Apr 25, 2010. 7:53 PM
The diy one is a bat
the one with the icon is the file.

Both the same thing. It'll just make lots of files.
lieuwe says: Jan 23, 2010. 11:11 AM
this actually doesn't use that much ram, it mostly uses hd-space, which can be deadly, as with too little free hd space your pc wont boot, or very very slowly... please for the love of god, do not pull this prank, it's not funny
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 23, 2010. 9:53 PM
Tested reply! I found out the size of each folder and the actual speed of folder creating. OK 160 folders per second and each file is 8 kb thats 1.280 mb per second, with the usual clean hard drive of 320 gigabytes it would take 2.8 days to fill it up completely. That's 48~72 hours to deactivate it depending on your computer speed. I tested this on a new computer. So that's pretty harmless unless your friend is on a holiday.
lieuwe says: Jan 24, 2010. 5:24 AM
a hd doesn't actually have to be *full* to cause damage, the partition table might get fragmented, which results in a slow hd until defragmented, and windows might not boot with a too full hd
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 24, 2010. 4:25 PM
A full HD can run, I tested this on a really old computer. IT ran even when the HD was 7.98 gb/8 gb full
lieuwe says: Jan 25, 2010. 2:45 AM
did that old pc have two partitions? or maybe even two disks? anyhow, even if it's not harmful it's not funny, the only thing you cause with this is annoyance with the guy that comes down to 'fix' your computer...
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 25, 2010. 2:55 PM
Yes C: and D:
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 23, 2010. 9:47 PM
True, I posted the wrong file then noticed when I opened it, i have another one which creates the file opens it then deletes it and continues but the computer thinks its opening to a non-existing file and eventually the computer crashes after too much ram usage. Never said it was funny, strictly for revenges only and Disclaimer: Not responsible for anything done with this program.
Neo1 says: Jan 22, 2010. 8:24 PM
But you can do this simply with a batch file
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 23, 2010. 12:24 AM
You can, but batch you can just press edit and it says whats inside and  people won't open it if they were pranked another way.
Neo1 says: Jan 23, 2010. 11:32 AM
well you are right, but you could still compile to an exe even though that would be almost the same

 The button broke
Whaleman says: Jan 22, 2010. 8:53 PM
How do you break a button? You mean the key came off, or the connection broke?

KnexFreek says: Jan 21, 2010. 6:38 PM
Cool! i want to prank my friend but im scared ill ruin his computer. how are you supposed to dstop the creation of the files once you have started it and how do you get rid of them?
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 21, 2010. 8:37 PM
You can always test it, Ill release a video soon.
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 21, 2010. 8:37 PM
You can stop it by going to task manager and ending the process TREE of the file name which is RAMW alternatively you can put it inside a folder and just keep it running, that will make his computer slower as well!
KnexFreek says: Jan 22, 2010. 4:15 AM
lol im terrible with comps ill end up paying him 1110 $ if i try this LOL
knex_mepalm (author) says: Jan 22, 2010. 6:48 PM
Its an MD you can download the DIY folder and check the batch md means make folder, but if you close the application, all thats left is a lot of folders which is easy to delete and the file, something that will screw your computer up is a virus
eoscondor says: Sep 26, 2010. 10:45 AM
deleting batch files stops them.
knex_mepalm (author) says: Sep 26, 2010. 3:42 PM
The exe runs in the background and you cannot delete a file when it is in use
eoscondor says: Sep 27, 2010. 2:15 AM
you can if you run it from an SD/flash drive!
xXxXlife-is-beautifulXxXx says: Jan 5, 2011. 12:37 PM
no actually you cant. if its running from a flash drive its just like its running of the hard drive. when you plug a SD/flash drive into a computer there basically just other drives connected to the computer that can be removed. the only differences between a flash drive and a hard drive are that a flash drive can be removed without taking your computer apart, a flash drive has less memory (depending on if you compare it to modern computers) and it has a usb port. needless to say if a program is running it does not matter what directory its running from it CANNOT be deleted.
eoscondor says: Sep 26, 2010. 10:43 AM
press control+c or d (i can't remember witch one) will stop any batch script in its tracks! C-:
account3r2 says: Jan 28, 2012. 7:29 PM
It's Ctrl+C to stop any command.
I use that command a lot when I am making files or testing ones...
I make a lot of programs :|
knex_mepalm (author) says: Sep 26, 2010. 3:43 PM
It runs in the background and it's hidden for exe.I forgot about the bat cuz I have
Moved onto programming. The exe is encrypted as well
eoscondor says: Sep 27, 2010. 2:12 AM
ok. i have not tried it so i did not know.......
(guess i should use it then!)
