Introduction: Angel Ornament Gift Idea

About: I like making little treats and pretty much doing anything crafty. I want to learn new techniques and share how I do what I do. Edit - I took a break for awhile but I'm ready to get back into sharing my work …

Need to make a last minute Christmas gift? These one-of-a-kind  glass angel ornaments are easy to make and so pretty on the tree.

Step 1: Materials

What you will need for this project:

Glass ball ornament
Ribbon
Acrylic paint
White feathers
Glitter (optional)

Step 2: Paint

First, take off the top metal piece on your glass ornament. Place in three or four white feathers and replace cap.

From here you really can be pretty creative.
You could glue some round rhinestones around the globe, paint a name or a date, glue on glitter, ect.

I painted angels on the surface of the glass. Now, when painting white you will need more than one coat to get the painting to be opaque. Add features and be as creative as you want. You can add a little white/clear glitter to wet paint to add some glitz.

After your paint is dry, tie a bow around the top and another piece of ribbon for hanging. For my angel theme I chose light blue and white ribbons.

Step 3: Gift It

Dazzle your family or friends with your handmade creation!

Clear glass ornaments are so awesome because there is no end to the ways you can deck them out.

Merry Christmas!
