Bid Early - Bid Often

Proceeds go to the "Foraging Fund for students that made the 'Anti Crayon' sculpture, listed them on Instructables and sold them on eBay to buy food" or FFSTMACSLISBBB for short.

Step 1: Materials

Crayons
Scrap of Cardboard
Tin Foil
Oven

Step 2: Bake 1

Set oven to 200 degrees and place your box of crayons on a sheet of foil.

Bake for 10-15 minutes

Step 3: Drain

Remove crayons from oven. Drain as much of the wax as you can and then place your box on a new sheet of foil.

Step 4: Repeat

Place back into the oven and repeat. Do this until most of the wax has been removed. You can check by peeking in the box to check how much crayon is actually left.

Once finished, allow to completely cool.

Step 5: Make a Base

Cut some random shape from a bit of cardboard.

Just for fun, I coated it with leftover crayon wax (remelted in oven). Then, I smoothed it out by holding a lighter flame to it until it would flow. Finally allow to cool.

Remove the cool crayons from the box. They should now be a shell of a crayon, held together with residual crayon.

To glue the anti crayons to the base, pour some molten crayon on the base and hold the anti crayons in the puddle. Once cool, add more wax for extra support and while you're add it - attach some other random shiny items. Shiny items are good.

It looks quite at home with alongside the other items on my shelf.

You may ask: "why?" The simple answer - why not? To be honest, I don't know why. These things just happen - and we move on.
