This was a Halloween costume I made earlier this year but never took pictures of. Overall the costume cost me around thirty dollars, virtually none of which was spent on the gun prop.

The jumpsuit I ordered online from this site . The rest of the money was spent on white acrylic paint for the jumpsuit decals and white portions of the gun.

The gun itself is constructed from recycled materials. The white portions and handle are cut from bleach bottles, one large and one small. The main body is a large can of peanuts. The barrel is a section of cardboard tube with a strip of camping foam glued around the end. The clear tube is a fancy glass sparkling water bottle my roommate had in the recycling. The brand is called VOSS. The arms are card stock and the wires are coat hanger. I borrowed a can of black spray paint from my girlfriend for the color.

I left some open spaces in the body of the gun and under the fancy bottle cap to stuff in some blue or orange glow sticks.

I am quite proud of this project, and despite it being made for practically nothing, to me the device is more valuable than the organs and combined incomes of everyone in *subject hometown here.*

Thanks for this, mate! I made one for halloween this year. I had to modify it quite a bit, but it was still a hit at some of the parties I went to.

I used some sections of Diet Dr. Pepper bottles for the clear part and made the barrel out of a Pringles can inside a USPS cardboard tube mailer-thing. I made the claws out of poster board, so they were a little bigger/floppier, but they still made it. I couldn't tell what you made the mounts for the claws out of, so I just took a Sharpie to the bottle caps of the DDP bottles.

Thanks again for this idea.

I just like to make things. I dabble in a lot of mediums and usually don't like to spend money on parts, so most of my work is made with leftover materials. I love different forms of storytelling, and...
