Step 3: Make the Sandwich

Now, you will generously butter both sides of your sourdough bread with the Parmesan butter you prepared earlier. Next, on top of the buttered sourdough, you will place your ingredients in the following order-
1. Sharp cheddar cheese
2. Apple slices
3. Bacon slices
4. (optional) more Apple slices
5. Sharp cheddar cheese
Placing the cheese on the outside, I have found, enables it to melt better around the apples and bacon, encasing them in a cloak of gooey cheddar.
would you like to know the best part of reading this 'ible? sprinting/triping/tumbling (not consecutively, but simultaneously) into the kitchen to make my own immediately after! no parm butter though :( tyvm for sharing this recipe with us, we are all forever in your debt.
Wow, awesome. I'll need to get some of these ingredients so I can make this sometime soon. That parmesan butter sounds VERY interesting also, I must try it.
I... I... I hunger!...
that sandwich looks wiked good
Hole awesome bacon batman!
DOUBLE POST!lol, jk but the only time i eat apples and cheese at the same meal(excluding desserts) is breakfast, i once ate 1/5 kilo of aged cheddar, and 3/5 kilo of apple(my mom went shoping!) after pulling an all nighter(i was 12;))
It's lunchtime now, and it's far too empting to run out of college, sprint back home and make myself one of those.
You should change it to Apple, Bacon, and Cheese so it's the ABC Sandwich
How euphonious! Kitchenwench is so beautiful!
another great sandwich with apple: add turkey, sub gouda for the cheddar...mmm....
Why The Frig would anybody waste what is argueably the best sandwich ever by dipping it in shagging peanut butter?
Sounds really good. Nice pictures, too; especially the sliced apple!
