One day I was in the kitchen (like I am 99% of the time) and whilst rummaging through the pantry looking for ingredients to create a sandwich for my lunch, I spied a block of sharp cheddar cheese, a lone Granny Smith apple, some bacon that had been fried earlier that morning, and a loaf of artisan sourdough bread made from this
amazing recipe. Then, suddenly I realized what a delicious combination these ingredients would make! Everything else fell into place, and a sandwich was born.
This amazingly easy & fabulous tasting sandwich combines the tartness of apples, the creaminess of cheddar, and the crunchiness of bacon on top of 2 slices of artisan sourdough bread slathered in Parmesan butter & grilled to perfection.
