I have 10 apples sitting in my family fridge waiting to be eaten. What the heck. Why not? :)

Haha. I'm glad you decided to try it! And a cookie sheet would be perfect!

I will definitely be doing this tomorrow night. I made a pan of apple crumb for Thanksgiving and didn't get any :(
There's still a large granny smith I didn't use so now I can make a personal batch with this recipe. I like to add oats to the mix.

Awwh :( Oats would probably work well too. Let me know how it went and thanks for the nice comment!

You forgot the raisins!. Wrap in a couple of layers of foil and put in your next campfire.

I'm definitely going to try this tonight. Would it be possible to cook it in a microwave somehow?
jen7714 (author) in reply to EldjotnarNov 29, 2011. 4:41 PM
I think a microwave will definitely work! I don't have the timing for that so experiment!

Is just 10 minutes long enough to cook the exterior of the apples so they're soft?
jen7714 (author) in reply to shesparticularNov 27, 2011. 8:12 PM
It actually is. I think because it is baked at 370 and the apple skin isn't such a good barrier for heat, the apple is soft at around 10 minutes (5 minutes if you like the crunch :)
