Add A Lanyard To Your Appple Remote

Step 1:

Picture of

All it took was a Dremel, a 2mm drill-bit & 15 minutes.
After changing my battery, I wondered if I could put it on a lanyard/neck-strap.
I drilled a hole in the bottom and one in the battery holder. I then drilled a semicircle on one-side so I could tuck the lanyard's cord away.
It doesn't impose on the remote and also stops me putting it down and losing it!

Nice remote mod. I want to try....but i think my brother broke the bottom of my remote. I can't seem to get it off. I understand you have to push in then it will come off....but mine goes in when pushed, but doesn't come out any further or pops out. any help? thanks again though

Cool mod, I'm always wondering where to put my Apple Remote... they really should have made it about 4mm thinner to make it fit in the ExpressCard slot. I'm not really the lanyard type so I will not try this out. But big up for the idea :)

Love the lanyard!! V.cool :) I agree, 4mm and the ExpressCard slot would have been the perfect place for it!
