Hi there.

Today we are going to make smart Mousetrap with Arduino:)

You reach everything in this instructable.

Step 1: What Will We Need?

  1. Arduino
  2. 2xServo
  3. Cardboards
  4. Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor
  5. a Mini breadboard
  6. Buzzer

Step 2: What Do We Want?

We want to;

  1. If a mouse enter the box, cap will close
  2. When mouse is inside the box, buzzer will get active
  3. When cap closed, a lock will lock the door..:)

Step 3: Cardboards;

7 x 9 x 12 cm cardboard box

You can make own your box or you can get.

Then make holes for sensor and servos'.

Make a cap and hold this to servo1.

Step 4: Connections;

IOA to Arduino;

Signal to A0

Vcc to 5V

Gnd to Gnd

Buzzer to Arduino;

Long pin to D2

Short pin to Gnd

Servos to Arduino;

Servo1 signal to D9

Servo2 signal to D10

Step 5: Codes;

<p>Nice idea indeed. Just needs a bit more work on the door construction as if the<br> side gaps are bigger than 0.5-1 cm, the mouse will easily squeeze <br>through and escape.</p>
